Polardep

Definitely, Polardep is not the first electronica scene in the durian republic, but the Plastic Butter. Polardep is the first to explore the deeper noise of electronic music. Equipped with terrifying (being really new) gadgets, harrowing effects and the near attempt of mimicking Teardrop of my biggest favorite Massive Attack, they impressed me and the crowd.

Wow! But not a complete awe.

Their (echoing) vocals was mashed by their overwhelming synth. They could had been perfect―or more suave―if their music offered more space for lyrical and vocal clarity. Well, Massive Attack is massively heavy with musical effects and multiple vocals, yet they are so damn clear with singing. But of course, they are Massive Attack and Polardep is an infant protege.

But i am so happy with their risky act. Worth a delay of my planned sleep.

Thanks to Joseph of Keyk for introducing me this band. Polardep is another following. And no! WeRideDynamite is not on the same league with Polardep. WeRideDynamite is raw rock.

So, rock on for both!
