Tinatapon Lang Durian sa Davao

You have heard bananas fed to pigs and monkeys in Mindanao, while Luzon scram to buy them at more than P20. Today, durian are share the same fate. They are abundantly thrown to the street...to the street vendors.

Durian filled the street of Davao city as the city is close in celebrating Kadayawan-a feast of abundant harvest. Drive away from Anda, Bankerohan, Magsaysay and Ponciano, if you are allergic to its foul (but never, in fact) smell.

Im quite suprised though of its price. I was expecting it to be cheaper with more supplies. Well, i am not furiously complaining. I am giving that economic monopoly to the small durian growers and traders. Kadayawan is one of those rare economic opportunities for most of us.

Happy Kadayawan!
