San Carlos-Bacolod-San Carlos

San Carlos is a small town of Negros Occidental. it has a community
relatively same with Dapitan City, but fewer old houses and wider
roads. you could smell Danding Cojuangco in the air with the vast
sugarcane plantation. you would be cruising through a winding road,
like Baguio City or Badas, Mati, from San Carlos to Bacolod. my city
has a greener hillside though. as you reach the hilltop, mountain
resorts began to show-edifices that pose stark contrast of the
surrounding poverty and denuded mountain.

vendors of mais, salbaro and budbud rushed in at the bus stop, and so
as the cold breeze like Baguio City or Buda. landscape gradually
changed as the bus continued. you would see small patches of the likes
of Chocolate Hills of Bohol and Rice Terraces.

now, im really awake for the real reason—scenic views and brewing
coffee (even if im not a coffee lover), pine trees and, of course, Mt.
Kanlaon.
